And with temps dropping into the negatives, here are some quick winter eye safety tips:

  • Bundle your eyes! Windburn and extreme cold can dry out your eyes. Wear wraparound glasses or goggles if you’re outdoors for long.
  • Hydrate inside & out. Dry indoor air can worsen dry eye. Ask us about treatment options if your eyes are itchy or irritated.
  • Snow + sun = extreme glare. Yes, you can get UV damage in winter. Sunglasses are a must, especially when driving or shoveling.
