Wellness Through Eyecare: Seeing the Bigger Picture This October

At OculusDocs, October is about more than pink ribbons, it’s about whole-person wellness, compassionate care, and remembering the friends and loved ones who’ve touched our lives. This month, we’re proud to partner with the Breast Friends Fund by donating a percentage of our eyeglass sales to support metastatic breast cancer research and honor the legacy of our friend, Sandy Cassanelli.

Sandy was a light in this community and a fierce advocate for early detection and access to care. Her story reminds us that eye health is just one piece of a much larger wellness puzzle. That’s why we believe in Wellness Through Eyecare, a philosophy that says taking care of your eyes is part of taking care of your whole self.

This October, we encourage you to:

  • Schedule your annual eye exam. Vision is a window into your overall health. Eye exams can detect early signs of diabetes, high blood pressure, and more.
  • Prioritize your routine health screenings. Whether it’s a mammogram, colonoscopy, or blood pressure check, staying on top of preventive care can make a life-saving difference.

As the CDC reminds us, routine screenings are essential for early detection and treatment of many chronic conditions, including cancer. Learn more about general health screening guidelines here:

Thank you for allowing us to be part of your health journey.
